I support people to connect with their inner world, move through difficult experiences, and find more truth, joy and aliveness.
My approach is based on IFS and somatic trauma therapy. We make space for all parts to show up, to share their experiences and fears, to tell us what they need, and to finally release the burdens they have been carrying. We include all the ways our body-mind (soma) can communicate with us, including through feelings, sensations, images, movements and gestures. As limiting beliefs and unconscious patterns unravel, more understanding and new possibilities arise.

There might be an area of your life where you are feeling stuck, where old strategies aren’t working for you any more. You might want support to move through an internal conflict, process painful experiences, navigate relationships or to prepare for a difficult conversation. Wherever the starting point, we make space for different parts of us to show up, and listen to what they want us to know. By honouring and respecting the survival strategies they picked up to cope with painful experiences, trust grows, and they naturally show us what they are trying to do for us, what they fear, and what they need. Parts that have been carrying so much alone can finally put down their burdens and open up to different strategies. Throughout this journey we hold awareness that our cultures, systems, and social location shape us – it is both a personal journey, and a collective one.

I know from within myself how much hurt and loneliness we can carry, and the so many good reasons why not to go there and feel those painful places fully. I have tried all the ways around it – tried to ignore and ‘crack on’, tried to persuade my mind to change, tried to coach and manage myself to be a certain way. Of course we try to find strategies to survive and feel better when painful things happen, it isn’t easy to feel and see some of what happens to us. And of course those difficult things keep coming back, because they want to be met with love, to have chance to express themselves fully, to be heard and felt, and to heal.

For me, integrating knowledge from IFS/parts work and learning to follow the wisdom of my soma, I finally found a way to be with, trust and follow my own inner wisdom. I have more sense of trust in myself, more trust that I can be with whatever comes up, and more trust in life. That changes everything!
Sessions are generally one hour, and take place online, or in/near Carmarthen. You can book a one off session, or a series of 6 sessions. A typical contribution is £60 for an hour, or an amount that you can afford. I don’t want money to be a barrier to anyone accessing support, so even if your finances are limited, please get in touch.
